Juniper Networks® Reference Guide: JUNOS™ Routing, Configuration, and Architecture
This i believe is one of the best Juniper reference books i have come across. I have read and used within my job the complete reference by Matt Kolon and Jeff Doyle, aswell as other books. However this reference guide seems to cover the essential aspects of the more upto date Junos versions.
This is an excellent book that is well presented and easy to read, which has to be the killing point, i found the book written as if i where actually speaking to some of the people i know at Juniper through my company.
I passed my JNCIS by this book, I am recommending this book to all my friends who are scattered across various ISP’s in the european region that have also implemented Juniper at the amsterdam internet exchange, london internet exchange etc across europe..
Although I got this book at the beginning of this month, I benefit from this book very well.
From simple point of networking to complex topologies, each point is clearly explained. That is, it is designed to welcome most of the needs of an ISP.
I thing each network engineer holds this book under his/her hand.

This is the only book available for JNCIE Lab test though it is dated. This book is well written and covers all for the JNCIE. I highly recommend this book if someone wants to go for JNCIE book.

The Best Juniper Book out there, except for maybe the Cook Book. Only thing is that this book needs is an update (2002 print). There are new Routers, Router/Switches, Switches, Enterprise Routers and Edge Routers that the book does not cover because they were not out. Also the book is JUNOS 5.x Despite its dated nature still a great book.
The subject matter presented in this book is outstanding. The writing is also in a very unique style, which I’ve never encountered in my collection of networking books. An excellent JNCIS prep book and an enjoyable read for the Juniper enthusiast.
My one issue with this book is that there were clearly no proof readers. Several times in the book it states Mbps instead of Gbps, in particular relating to their description of the M40 router. There were also diagrams that referred to “1/0 Managers” when they meant to put I/O managers.
